Quantum Navigation: Charting new landmarks
July 11 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Presented by the Innovative Planet Research Institute, Swinburne and RMIT Applied Quantum Technologies Centre. Sponsored by Quantum Australia. In partnership with the ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science (COMBS) Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Navigation.
Join us for a one-day workshop that brings together the navigation and quantum sensing communities to explore the potential of quantum sensors as field-deployable solutions for resilient navigation.
As these systems transition from laboratory prototypes to operational tools, it is essential to consider all components of a navigation solution — including mission and application environments, platform constraints, system dynamics, and integration with existing navigation architectures.
This event will provide diverse perspectives from end users, classical navigation system experts, hybrid and sensor fusion specialists, and quantum technology developers. It will facilitate cross-domain discussions to ensure that future quantum navigation systems are not only technically advanced but also mission-ready and fit for purpose.
