Celebrating quantum

The AIP is hosting two national public tours as part of the Quantum Year celebrations. The Women in Physics Tour launched in Melbourne with Dr Danielle Holmes delivering the first Marie Curie Lecture on the Quantum Century. She and Dr Sol Jacobsen will continue touring across Australia through to the end of August. In July, 2018 Nobel Laureate Professor Donna Strickland will present free public lectures at UNSW, RMIT, UQ, and the Australian Academy of Science. Her groundbreaking work on high-intensity laser pulses has transformed both industry and eye surgery. Thanks to the Defence Science and Technology Group for supporting the tour. Find out more >
